I will do a bit of shilling for Brian here. If you are not part of his Patreon you did not see what for me is a pretty exciting early notification of a future Lividian Limited! Now back to your regular programming.

Fingers crossed that a lot of collectors are excited when that one is announced! I might have forgotten to mention to Kate how I kind of kept adding artwork to the book, and then we went to do the spec sheets for the printer…… 🙃

I have to be honest. When I read the details, it sounded like it would be pretty expensive gut the added art at the back sounds fantastic!

I just saw the sneak peek of of the Mystery Walk lettered edition.  That book looks beautiful! Man, I would love a copy of this on my shelf!

3 hours between one book arriving and getting a new shipping notice. That's got to be a record!

Retail price will be more than some recent books but less than others. 🙂

Received the latest Paperback/ARC box from Lividian. Two stunning paperbacks (one I believe is now a Patreon exclusive) and two ARCs. A bit of a surprise for me and I wonder if the limited edition will match. The surprise was no interior art. I do not believe Lividian has released a book without interior illustrations before. Will this be a 1st?

Got mine today too. I was a little surprised the rack wasn't included.

I sort of assumed that as the cover art is absolutely stunning but could not be sure! On a side note, the colored paperback for Carris revisited turned out fantastic, don't think I even want to know what you paid to have that printed.

I'm going to post this here because I don't necessarily want to start another thread:

Anybody see the image for the next unannounced limited edition in the email this morning? Any guesses?

I really have no real guesses, so I'm just gonna throw out a wild card that I'm pretty darn positive it won't be. I'm going to guess Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion.

I also just did a quick Google search and had no idea there were like two more books in the series.

If true, it's not a bad choice. I don't need a limited of it, but I did enjoy the book. Not enough, I guess, to continue on to the other two you mentioned, but it was solidly entertaining.

Well, I was wrong.

Going to post this question to Brian here, since it seems like the appropriate place!

Brian, in reviewing photos of recent lettered editions, I've noticed a shift in the style of traycase used. In photos of books like Carrie's Legacy, the traycase pictured is of the clamshell variety. However, in the photos of Baal and The Ferryman, the traycases appear to be the cigarbox style, or what I call the "traditional Cemetery Dance traycase." Beyond the Hill line of books, will all lettered editions moving forward be in the latter style? I guess I'm just curious as to the reasons for the design change, though I'm assuming this probably has to do with manufacturing costs.

Great question!

For The Ferryman, our designer used the wrong 3D template and I honestly didn't notice. Ha. It'll be a clamshell case at that price. 🙂

Baal and some other sub-$400 Lettered Editions will use cigar box style cases due to manufacturing costs.

Best,
Brian

Wow! Thanks for the fast response, Brian! I figured with the new sub-$400 lettered editions, the price point would necessitate some changes. I was mostly thrown off by that Ferryman mock-up. Thanks again!

Yeah, that slipped through the cracks on this end. Working to correct it now, so I can hopefully sell the last couple of copies. 🙂 Then onto THE PASSAGE Lettered Edition after THE FERRYMAN ships, which will be the same deal in terms of printing (color art) and clamshell case, etc.

Brian
