Did a Road trip with my son. Flew to Seattle, hit interstate 90 and rolled into Boston, then took the train home to Richmond VA. Great trip! Of course, stopped at a few bookstores!
We left Seattle on July 21 and got to Boston on the 28th. I took the 11 hour Amtrak trip home on the 29th. Lots of stops in between. Our longest day was about 9 hours.

Glad you guys had a great time, and that HPB photo above is just too wild. I recognize it immediately, of course, as being in Redmond...that was the town where I lived for almost twenty years until a couple years ago, so I've been in that particular HPB probably a hundred times, with no exaggeration. Wild that that's the location you picked (as opposed to the locations in Bellevue or Everett)...gives me a smile that you walked the same well-tread bookstore carpet I've been on countless time.

Sounds like an awesome trip! I love road trips. Yeah, it takes a lot longer to get anywhere, but you miss out on all the little sights when just fly back-and-forth everywhere.
Sounds like fun. I can do 9 hours but I'm pretty tired/sore for a few days after that. Not sure I could handle multi-day traveling like that without a solid rest period.
Anywho...It really sounds like a wonderful time. I love it!
