Wasn't sure if we needed a thread for this topic, but here we are.
Earlier this evening I made the drive to the DEEP SOUTHERN parts of Denver (some might call it Littleton). It took about an hour forty-five with minimal traffic until the last ten miles or so.
Tonight's event was Daniel Kraus on his only stop for his newest book - The Sixth Nik. In conversation with Stephen Graham Jones, the discussion was interesting. Night of the Living Dead, daddy issues, learning about the Pulitzer, bad book covers, and in-grown hairs.
Good times.
I also learned (but on my drive back home I kept wondering if I already knew this . . .) that Earthling is going to publish their own edition of Whalefall, complete with an introduction from SGJ. I don't buy very many Earthling books, but I really want to add their edition to my collection.

I then stopped and got myself a Double Double and fries - both animal style - from In-n-Out.

So jealous...no one (No one that interests ME, anyway) ever does a signing in my neck of the woods. I drove past Brian Keene's Vortex books (Within 20 miles, not literally driving by, but...) a few times on the way to visit family, but we were always on a clock, so we never stopped. Brian has talked about coming up here a few times, but it's never happened. Rachel Harrison was local, and used to do frequent signings at nearby bookstores, but by the time I became a fan she had moved to New Jersey, lol.

So cool to be somewhere that hosts big time authors. My little slice of life brings in zero author signings. I could google this but what is animal style? I've never visited or lived in an area with an In & Out.
